‘Underworld 5’ Update: Protagonist Kate Beckinsale still leads the sequel amid divorce reports; Cast and release date set

After playing the role of the lead protagonist in the last 4 sequel of Underworld, Kate Beckinsale will still be part of the fifth 'Underworld' movie. Other cast members and release date have been finally revealed.

Fans Share recently reported that Hollywood star Kate Beckinsale is already in process of a divorce with his husband Len Wiseman. Considering that Kate is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, dealing with rumors isn't inevitable. In fact, there has been rumors that Kate is recently in contact with his co-star in Pearl Harbour, Ben Affleck as her shoulder to cry on, with of course many believe that the two are already on the edge of becoming a certified item.

Despite the rumors, lead protagonist Kate Beckinsale has been spotted filming and focusing on her work with the latest sequel of Underworld, with a subtitle of 'Next Generation' according to CP Entertainment. The sequel, however, is believed to be as compelling as the previous sequels of the movie especially now that the lead protagonist will be reprising the role as the vampire Selene.

Together with Kate will be the 'Divergent' actor Theo James who will play a comeback role as David, Selene's ally, whom he played in the 2012 underworld sequel, Awakening. Another actor who will be reprising a role is 'Game of Thrones' star Charles Dance, who previously played Thomas, also known as the vampire elder and David's dad. With the comeback cast on the list, new cast members include Lara Pulver, playing a new vampire character, Tobias Menzies from 'Outlander' who will be playing a role of a new Lycan and finally James Faulkner with his role not identified yet says Jobs and Hire. Furthermore, Bradley James and Peter Anderson are also reported to be part of the cast.

There have been rumors that the movie will be focusing on Theo James for a reason that Kate might not be on the following sequel of the underworld. But whether those rumors are true or false, 'Underworld 5: Next generation' is set off to hit the theaters on October 21, 2016.
