While it has not been confirmed when the next handset will finally hit the shelves, speculations indicate that it could be unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in March next year.

However, as reported by Mirror UK, it is also possible for the handset to be revealed earlier which could take place in January in order for it to be included in the first quarter sales of the company. The Galaxy S7 is rumored to be released in 2 versions; one of which is to be a 5.2-inch flat screen version and the other called the "Galaxy S7 Edge" would be its 5.5-inch curved-screen version.

It is rumored to be released with glass in front and back, and metallic frame in the middle. Although it is rumored to resemble the Samsung S6 in its appearance, the new handset is said to house improved cameras, more sophisticated processor, and larger battery life.

The new handset is to feature the buttons for the volume on its left side while the right side will be for the power button. Claims also suggest that the headphone port, USB port, and speaker might be situated on the bottom.

According to Android Headlines, Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 820 with Exynos 8 Octa 8890, which was based on speculations that the South Korean company partnered with Qualcomm that grant them exclusive access to the chipset until April of next year.

Furthermore, it is also speculated to include a new cooling system feature which will ensure that the processor does not overheat. It may also feature a pressure sensitive display much like the latest technology Apple incorporated with their devices.

It is also suggested that Samsung is currently preparing for initial production run of 5 million units, with 3.3 million of which would be the flat screen devices while the 1.6 would be the curved screen version. However, until Samsung release their official details on the features of Galaxy S7, these speculations must be treated with a grain of salt.
