'Madam Secretary' Season 2 Mid-season Finale airs Jan. 10: Kate Burton, Emelyn Daly to guest star

Series creator Barbara Hall spilled that Kate Burton and Emelyn Daly will be guest starring in "Madam Secretary" Season 2 Episode 11. The official plot synopsis has been release while an recap for episode 10 is included here for those who missed it.

Series creator Barbara Hall revealed to Entertainment Weekly the celebrities who will make a cameo appearance in the 11th episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 2.

Hall stated, "Kate Burton plays Henry McCord's sister. She's part of the story that takes us into a little bit of the Henry and Elizabeth origin story, how they got together, and how that affected their relationship with each other and their families. You'll get to see the relationship with Elizabeth and Henry's sister. Also Tim Daly's real life daughter Emelyn Daly plays one of Henry's family members."

As for the official plot synopsis for the upcoming episode 11 of the show's 2nd season, Carter Matt reports that Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) will try to rescue a peaceful agreement with Russia after an unexpected series of happenings threatens to disintegrate the deal. Also, the U.S. Secretary of State gets dragged into getting involved with an emergency situation aboard the International Space Station.

For an episode 10 recap, Latin Post has detailed that Elizabeth and President Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine) met with Russia's Maria Ostrov (Angela Gots) to tackle some of their countries' issues and concerns. President Dalton raised the economic sanctions and private individuals in the country while Ostrov demanded the restoration of the fuel supply in Eastern Europe in exchange. Ostrov also demanded the president to issue an apology to her country for the Moscow blackout.

"Madam Secretary" Season 2 Episode 11 (mid-season finale) is entitled as "Unity Node". The forthcoming episode is set to premiere on Sunday, January 10, 2016 exclusively on CBS. "Madam Secretary" is an American political drama TV series created by Barbara Hall and executively produced by Lori McCreary and Morgan Freeman.
