'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6 premieres Jan. 12; What happens in Episode 1, new villain revealed

EP I. Marlene King revealed behind-the-scene photos which hints who the newest villain in "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 is. Meanwhile, Ashley Benson teased some details about her character Hanna and premiere episode official synopsis has been released.

Executive producer I. Marlene King finally released some exclusive behind-the-scene photos which suggest that the new troublemaker is related to one of the main characters. According to Fashion and Style, Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale) is "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 newest villain.

On the other hand, Ashley Benson (who portrays the character of Hanna) teased E! Online that her character is going to experience a lot of tension with Caleb (Tyler Blackburn).

As for the official synopsis of Season 6 episode 1, Carter Matt notes, "After years of tormenting and numerous shocking revelations, the Liars finally uncovered the true identity of A in the summer finale of season 6. Now, 5 years later, the girls have each pursued their own paths and have started adjusting to a life without A, when something happens in Rosewood that forces them to go back to where it all started.

Torn between their old habits and their new lives, the events in Rosewood compel the Liars to join forces again, as relationships are put to the test and secrets are revealed. Having matured over the past few years, these are not the same girls who left Rosewood. As new lies emerge -- how will they push forward without going back?"

"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 premiere episode is entitled "Of Late I Think of Rosewood". The upcoming season is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, January 12, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. exclusively on Freeform (formerly ABC).

"Pretty Little Liars" is an American teen drama mystery-thriller TV series developed by I. Marlene King. The storyline is based on Sara Shepard's novel series under the same name.
