LG G Stylo Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

By

LG G Stylo is one of the company's lucky three devices to receive the official over-the-air (OTA) update of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As pre-empted by T-Mobile through revelation of its roadmap, all retail, unlocked and under mobile carriers units of G Stylo are definitely heading to the biggest update in Android history.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be hitting the LG G Stylo smartphones, bringing with it the most exciting features from Google. Per previous reports, the upgrade will come to the device before the year 2015 comes to an end, but as LG G4 still being updated, G Stylo will most probably receive the software upgrade early next year.

However, December has not yet ended and many G Stylo owners are still looking forward to get the update later this month. G Stylo has just been updated to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Being one of the largest mobile carriers in the United States, T-Mobile has released a bunch of smartphones and tablets to receive the update aside from G Stylo. The magenta carrier includes G4, G3, HTC One M9, One M8, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Tab S2.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring the following features and enhancements in battery management and battery itself, Google Now, Android Pay, app permissions and volume controls, among others.

Google offers Doze-a battery saving feature to control the power consumption of idle apps by putting them to sleep. Google Now gives more accurate recommendations through the new Now on Tap. Android Pay expands now to more mobile payments for purchases.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been rolled out to Google Nexus 5 (2013), Google Nexus 6 (2014), Google Nexus 7 (2013), Google Nexus 9 (2014), HTC One M8, Motorola Moto X Pure Edition and LG G4. Phones that debuted with Marshmallow out of the box include Google Nexus 5P, Nexus 6P and HTC One A9.
