‘Transformers 5’ Update: Mark Wahlberg returns for Bot-Busting Action; New Autobots and Decepticons Coming

By

Actor Mark Wahlberg has confirmed his return to the next upcoming sequel of Transformers, 'Transformers 5'. The movie's two storylines have also been hinted, plus the coming of new Autobots and Decepticons has been uncovered as well.

CP Entertainment revealed that actor Mark Wahlberg confirmed his return to the next sequel of Transformers during the premiere of his latest movie, 'Daddy's Home'. Not only that he confirmed his return, the actor also directly stated that he will be reprising his previous role as Cade Yeager in the sequel. Thus, Wahlberg's fans would again see him in the worlds of fighting robots and human beings. Meanwhile, other characters are yet to confirm their comeback.

Michael Bay, the previous director of the first Transformers movie, has also admitted that he had some discussions about the upcoming film with Steven Spielberg. Bay has initially reported that he won't be directing the film. However, the confirmation of Mark Wahlberg to be back on the movie is one big factor to get director Bay back. Moreover, the confirmation of Wahlberg according to Cinema Blend could either mean that the deal between the production and Michael Bay has been closed or it is for the assurance of him to direct the film once more.

IGN.com reported that the new sequel would provide its audiences with two separate stories. Akiva Goldsman, the film writer, said that it is domineering that human race and Transformers must communicate. For the first part of the movie, it will be all about Cade Yeager. Another focus of the story would be on the earth's Autobots fighting with a new Decepticon. As for the second part, it would narrate how Optimus Prime would go in a journey through space to find his creators, which were rumored to be the Quintessons, the aliens.

Although there has been no specific release date for 'Transformers 5', the whole cast is set off to hit the theaters in 2017.
