‘Toy Story 4’ Update: Current development, film release date leaked; Animated film sequel will take a different course

After half a decade of silence, the computer-animated film Toy Story 4's progress and the release date surfaced online by an actor of the movie. Moreover, the story line of the upcoming movie was promised not to take place after the third film events.

The fourth sequel to the toy-adventure series of Pixar was schedule to go into worldwide cinemas in June 15, 2018, 8 years after the critically acclaimed Toy Story 3. According to The Bitbag, it was Tom Hanks, actor who voiced everyone's favourite character Woody, as the sole suspect in dropping the truth regarding the film's progress. Tom Hanks' statement was ""We're now recording Toy Story 4. It will be out in 2018, so it takes a long time," while adding, ""I have a recording session on the second of December." This move by the 59-year old actor made lots of fans in bliss but also made the Disney lawyers disappointed about it.

Talking about the giving truths, Pixar president Jim Morris provided his own version of fact with it being a mild teaser about the film's future plot. According to Slash Film, the president stated in an interview that the film will start to take a different perspective which means another direction that may continue with the other future instalments. In an interview, Morris stated that the third movie completed a trilogy and therefore, the fourth one will be a separate story that may or may not continue.

But don't lose hope that the film will not try to attain the previous success, as the new steering will head to a romantic comedy film. As reported by E Online, the studio head said that "It is not a continuation of the end of the story of Toy Story 3. Temporarily it is, but it will be a love story. It will be a romantic comedy. It will not put much focus on the interaction between the characters and children. I think it will be a very good movie."

Toy Story 4 is the newest film of the franchise which is scheduled for the June 15, 2018 release. The film will be directed by the first and second's, John Lasseter. The upcoming film wouldn't be a continuation of the trilogy but rather will try to start a new destination. What are your thoughts regarding these developments?
