There is still no conclusive date of the release of Apple's much talked about iPhone 5, however people cannot seem to stop talking or speculating about it. While earlier rumors were suggesting that the smartphone might be released as soon as August, the more recent ones have concluded on a fall launch maybe September, or even as late as October.
Tuesday, new rumors about Apple's miniature version of its highly successful tablet iPad are making waves. According to Ming-chi Kuo, analyst at Plugged-in KGI, Apple might release its iPad-mini close to the release of its fifth generation iPhone. According to Kuo's predictions the iPad-mini will have a 7.85-inch display and thickness of the iPod touch. The prices will range from $249 - $299, according to BGR News.
Getting back to the iPhone, there is a general consensus that the iPhone 5 will have a larger screen. The current model has a screen of 3.5 inches, while speculators say the new one will have a screen of four inches; others think it could be even bigger - 4.8 inches.
New reports by Reuters suggest that the new iPhone will come with a new dock connector. According to the report the dock connector of the iPhone 5 will be a 19-pin port as opposed to the 30 pin port connector of the iPhone 4S. This essentially means that the accessories including chargers that iPhone users possess now will be rendered useless should they decide to up-grade to the latest iPhone.
Getting back to the screen, last week the Wall Street Journal released reports claiming inside information that the phone will flaunt a thinner body, wider screen and a new touch-screen technology.
According to the report, the latest iPhone screen will contain a new in-cell design in which the touch-screen sensors are embedded within the LCD screen, the new technology allows for higher quality graphics. The technology also permits the body of the phone to be more slender than its predecessor.
In the end, all that's been said about the iPhone 5 is all speculations and calculated guessing. It is important that Apple has not even mentioned the creation of iPhone 5 let alone its release date. However, this hasn't stopped people from predicting.
