Olympic gold medallist Michael Phelps has reunited with his girlfriend after getting out of rehab.
Radar Online reported that the 29-year-old superstar swimmer shared a photo on Instagram of his Thanksgiving dinner with his family and his on-and-off girlfriend, Nicole Johnson.
He captioned the photo, "What a great thanksgiving dinner with family!!! @mamaphelpsh20 @hilary_phelps @nicole.m.johnson and everyone else!!!"
This is the first time that Phelps came back online after months of being silent in social media. Phelps recently sought treatment for alcohol addiction following his arrest last September for DUI.
According to Yahoo! Celebrity, this is probably not the couple's first reunion since Phelps' return. The Miss California 2010 also posted a photo earlier of their date in Baltimore last week.
The site also reported that Johnson had previously hinted of their getting back together through a cryptic message that she posted on Instagram.
"Never use your failure yesterday as an excuse for not trying again today. We may not be able to undo damages, but we can always make a new start," the message read.
According to Yahoo! Celebrity, the couple started dating for a year in 2007 until 2008. They reunited in 2010 and eventually called it quits in 2011.
Phelps was previously reported to be having an affair with Taylor Lianne Chandler before he checked into rehab.
Radar Online reported that the news came as a shock to his many fans after the 41-year-old Chandler revealed that she was actually born a man.
Born David Roy Fitch, Chandler said in an interview with the site that she was an intersex baby. "I was born with male genitalia with no testicles, but I also have a uterus and no ovaries," she explained.
However, their whirlwind romance immediately stopped after Phelps was arrested.
At present, Phelps is already back in training. USA Today reported that Bob Bowman, Phelps' coach, will compete again once his six-month suspension ends on March 6.
"We're looking at a lot of different options for competition. We're just taking it one day at a time. He's back in training," said Bowman.
