The national legislation of China is planning to vote in favour of a draft law, implementing strict controls over international non-government groups. As part of the new law, police would be allowed to question managers and compel partner companies in China to axe any suite that poses a danger to the security of the state.
J. Dennis Hastert, a former Republican Speaker of the House from Illinois, is currently being sued for $1.8 million by a man claiming that he has been sexually molested by the politician as a teenager. The suit is for breach of contract that stated Hastert’s failure to comply with the full $3.5 million payment for compensation.
