The state of Virginia is having a shortage of drugs used in execution via lethal injection. This is the mere reason lawmakers are now pushing the revival of the electric chair as an option for executing convicted inmates.

The Federal Court in Virginia is now handling the case of the state's voters ID law. Critics dissaprove the law as it creates barriers among minority groups, especially the poor segment of the society.
