NY watchdog advises speed traders to 'soul-search' amid probe

At least three US states have expressed their intention to prove eBay Inc following its revelation that a database of theirs containing password and personal information of its customers have been breached, Bloomberg reported.
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said in a memo presiding the lawsuit filed by American International Group Inc against the Department of Financial Services and its its superintendent, Benjamin Lawsky that the case should be dismissed on the grounds that the lawsuit was the insurance company's ploy to hinder the financial regulator's probe on selling insurance overseas from the state without a license.
Spokesman Matt Mittenthal for New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said that the new subpoena was a revised form of the original in order to address the technical issue they encountered when a May 13 ruling voided the demand for information for its tax probe on Airbnb Inc.
