Mark Karpeles, the former head of defunct bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox, was arrested on Saturday in connection with the disappearance of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of the virtual currency, Japanese media reports said.
As the investigation on the collapse into bankruptcy of Mt. Gox, all issues and liabilities return to its CEO Mark Karpeles, who is now preparing his defense with his lawyers in Japan.
The death of First Meta Chief Executive Officer Autumn Radtke has been initially ruled as unnatural with no suspicions of foul play by the Singapore Police Force, Hindustan Times said.
