Leaders and protesters of a six-week armed occupation at a US wildlife refuge in rural Oregon are to be arraigned on charges of conspiring to impede federal officers policing the compound during a fight over federal control of land in the West.

The four remaining activists in the armed occupation of a federal wildlife refuge in Oregon surrendered on Thursday. They were all taken to Portland to face federal charges including conspiracy to impede federal officers.
