According to The Sterling Family Trust CFO Darren Schield, Sterling would be forced to sell a huge portion of his assets should he decide to retain ownership of the Clippers despite the agreement his estranged wife Shelly has struck with the group that included former Microsoft honcho Steve Ballmer.

A press release dated June 10 from Donald Sterling indicated that the troubled entrepreneur has resumed to oppose the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers, Yahoo reported.

According to Donald Sterling's lawyer, Max Blecher, his client will be pursuing the billion-dollar lawsuit against National Basketball Association and have retracted his support for the sale of his Los Angeles Clippers team after the sports league retained the lifetime ban and $2.5 million punishment for his racist comments, Bloomberg reported.
