Glossip, now 61, was sentenced to death after he was convicted in the 1997 slaying of his boss, 54-year-old father of seven Barry Van Treese.
Cole was sentenced to death for the 1994 slaying of 18-year-old Florida State University student John Edwards. He was also ordered to life in prison for the rape, kidnapping and robbery of John's 21-year-old sister, Pam Edwards.
Alabama will have carried out five executions by the end of 2024. Alabama is set to execute two death row inmates this fall, following the execution of three inmates earlier this year.
