Fans of Sherlock Holmes are all revved up as "Elementary" Season 3 is just around the corner. As days are nearing on to the premiere episode, new reports reveal the possible stories for the episodes of season 3.

New spoilers for the upcoming season of the CBS detective series revealed that Joan Watson will be having a rough time as she will be facing a new nemesis while dealing with Sherlock's new student, Kitty Winter.

According to KpopStars, Joan and Kitty, who will be played by Lucy Liu and Ophelia Lovibond respectively, will be coming into each other's teeth after their first meeting does not go well.

The site reported that the two women's first meeting will happen prior to the introduction of Kitty as Holmes' new protégé. Joan will be suspicious of Kitty's motivations of reaching out to Sherlock. However, these motivations remain unclear.

Meanwhile, Joan will be having a new rival in the form of Elana March who will be played by Gina Gershon.

TV Guide described the character of Gershon as "a socialite whom Joan suspects of running a notorious drug cartel. Unable to prove Elana's ties to the cartel's operations, Joan hopes to turn one of Elana's accountants into a key witness for the prosecution. But Joan's pursuit of Elana quickly becomes personal, with Elana demonstrating the lengths to which she's willing to go in order to avoid prison."

Aside from Elana and Kitty, Joan will also be dealing with the return of her ex-boyfriend, Chris. This character will be played by Christian Carnago. According to TV Guide, Chris is Joan's former medical colleague as well as her ex-lover. He will be getting in touch with her for help with a problem. Along the way, however, old feelings will possibly be stirred up.

"Elementary" will be returning with its third season this October 30 at CBS.
