"The Walking Dead" Season 5 spoilers: A possible cure may be found; Daryl's character to die in the series?

Fans are in for a new thrill as spoilers for "The Walking Dead" Season 5 revealed that a possible cure for the virus may be found in the upcoming season.

According to Christian Today, trailers previously shown displayed one of the locations which is a hospital where Beth Greene is being imprisoned.

Speculations are up that the hospital may hold clues to the antidote as the place looked sterile and controlled. However, there may be some difficulty as some Walkers are spotted roaming the area.

The trailer videos also showed that the regulars will be battling both the living and the undead. All characters, even the Walkers, are also set to head towards Terminus.

These reports were supported by the plot synopsis that Fox released as per report by The Independent.

"What follows is a story that weaves the true motives of the people of Terminus with the hopeful prospect of a cure in Washington, D.C., the fate of the group's lost comrades, as well as new locales, new conflicts, and new obstacles in keeping the group together and staying alive," revealed the synopsis.

The synopsis revealed that the upcoming season will be picking up where season 4 left off, unlike the usual time jump that it did for the previous seasons. It also questions the motives of the people of Terminus while ending with a query of who the characters will become.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reported that Robert Kirkman also spilled some beans on the events of season 5 during an interview with Entertainment Weekly radio.

"In our premiere episode of season 5 we're going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they're doing, why they're doing it, what's going on with them. And by the end of that episode you're going to have a much better understanding of what's going on with them and why they're so important to the show. Oh, and Daryl dies," said Kirkman.

Many were shocked of the news, but the site added that the creator may only be kidding about Daryl's death. He also shared the series is not yet ending anytime soon.

"And right now the issues that we are doing as we speak is material that could be adapted into a season 10, 11, or 12 depending on how we adapt things. And we're not stopping. So five years for now we'll be doing comics that could be for season 15. Now, it's unrealistic to think it can go for that long, but if the show remains successful, the potential is there for that.... All that said, I'm just hoping and praying we make it to season 7."

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 is set to premiere this October 12 on AMC.
