Major news for fans of the series "Pretty Little Liars" as the television show is set to do an "A" revelation in season 5.

Enstarz reports that Mona Vanderwaal's flashbacks may hold the key to finding out who the real "A" is.

Mona was the latest character who died in the ABC Family series. Although her death was not cause by the mysterious "A," her memories may lead to the discovery of the killer's identity.

Janel Parrish, who played the character of Mona, shared to TV Guide about her role for the upcoming season.

"I'm sad, but it's not over for me. I'm still going to be on the show, just in a different way with flashbacks. I think fans will get a lot of answers and a lot more of her back story," she told the site.

Parrish continued, "I'm hoping the flashbacks will take people on a journey into Mona world and that you'll see all the things she's been doing. It's going to be insightful," said the actress.

Although she claimed that she does not exactly know who "A" is, she thinks that it is her fellow character, Alison.

"I am just as in the dark as the viewers are. They were talking about my death for a year, but I didn't hear about it until the day before the table read!" claimed the actress.

However, she added, "But as far as what I think, I think it's Alison. It makes sense, she had blonde hair and it'll make for a really good story."

The series had previously shown a number of supposed "A"s, but series creator Marlene King that the character's identity will soon be revealed.

On her Twitter account, she posted, "@OnceeUponALiar closer than u think."

"Pretty Little Liars" is set to return for a Halloween special on October 21.
