"The Notebook" recently celebrated its 10th year anniversary. The movie adaptation of Nicholas Spark's novel brought one of the cutest couples onscreen, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Because of their chemistry and real-life romance, they garnered fans all over the world.
When the couple decided to part ways in 2007, many fans have been clamoring for the couple to get back together again, at least on screen, Kpopstarz reported.
OK Magazine had shared that the McGosling reconciliation would most likely not happen, despite the fact that McAdams is reportedly 'devastated' over the fact that her former beau is allegedly expecting a baby with 40 year-old beauty Eva Mendes. Moreover, Kpopstarz cited the magazine report, which said that the reason it did not work out between "The Notebook" co-stars is that McAdams was no ready to bear children!
On the other hand, fans of the McGosling love team might think that the pregnancy is a good thing. HollywoodLife cited an unnamed source, who said that despite the baby, Gosling does not want to get married!
"Ryan doesn't think they need to marry just because they are having a baby," the source was quoted as saying.
If this would be a sign that Gosling might just end up with McAdams after all, the former couple would probably have Mendes and the baby in the way.
"Eva believes it's important to have their lives fully intertwined," the same source said.
On the other hand, assumptions that the McGosling love team would actually reunite in real life, would probably only happen in an alternate universe. Why so? Director Nick Cassavetes said in an interview with Vh1 that the two never had a happy working relationship on the set to begin with.
He recalled, "Maybe I'm not supposed to tell this story, but they were really not getting along one day on set. Really not. And Ryan came to me, and there's 150 people standing in this big scene, and he says, "Nick come here." And he's doing a scene with Rachel and he says, "Would you take her out of here and bring in another actress to read off camera with me?" I said, "What?" He says, "I can't. I can't do it with her. I'm just not getting anything from this."
Cassavetes said eventually the two had worked it out in the end.
