A Tennessee woman who allegedly tried to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband blamed the man for the 2020 accidental death of her son, and said in a previous interview she had a "hellish rage" toward him.
Angelia Solomon, 55, is charged with solicitation of murder for allegedly attempting to hire a man to kill her ex-husband, Aaron Solomon, a former TV news anchor in the Nashville area.
In 2020, Solomon's son, Grant, died in a tragic accident when he was run over and pinned by his own truck. Aaron Solomon was a witness to the events and called 911. Police determined the incident an accident, but Angelina publicly criticized the police investigation, the Williamson Herald reported.
Angelia filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband in 2022, and a GoFundMe page was also set up to raise money to exhume Grant's body, conduct an out-of-state autopsy, and create a computerized accident reconstruction. The page had raised more than $137,000 as of April 16, 2025 and the last update to it was in 2024.
Angelia Solomon reportedly told the Daily Mail in 2023 that she wanted her ex-husband "gone," that he "didn't deserve to be on this Earth," and described having "hellish rage" toward him.
Aaron Solomon has never faced any criminal charges related to the litany of accusations made by Angelia. He sued her and four others for defamation in 2021.

Angelia Solomon met with a man to plan Aaron's murder on April 11. According to an arrest affidavit quoted by WSMV-4, the man was an undercover police officer, and Angelia gave him her car registration as collateral and promised a "future payment" once the murder was done.
The motive for the plot was reportedly to allow the couple's daughter to gain access to a trust fund. She also provided the undercover officer with information about where Solomon worked and lived and how he could find him, the station reported.
