An 86-year-old Florida man faces a criminal charge in a sexual abuse case that dates back several decades and the victim said the only thing that stopped him was when she "screamed in agony."
Bruny Joseph faces one count of sexual battery on a minor by an adult in a case that stems from the 1980s. The victim, now 49, was about four years old at the time the alleged abuse began, Local 10 reported.
Police say that the abuse lasted about 10 years, ending when the victim was in her teens, the station reported. The alleged abuse began in New York and continued when the child traveled to Miami for visits.
According to Local 10, the now woman said that starting in 1986 Joseph would kiss her, fondle her breasts, and rub his penis against her vagina and attempt to penetrate her. The woman told police that he would only stop when she "screamed in agony," Local 10 reported.
The woman's sister, who is five years older than the victim, also told police that she too was abused by Joseph.
