New York Police are searching for six men who stole a subway train and took it on a joyride, before returning it.

NYPD Crimstoppers stated the men operated the "R" train and caused damage to glass panels on the train to gain entry. The incident happened on Jan. 25.

A video acquired by CBS and posted to Instagram allegedly by the men shows them operating the train and speeding through the subway. One of the men is sitting out on the front part of the train with his legs dangling in the air.

The train was taken from the 36th Street stop in Sunset Park, taken an unknown distance, before being returned by the thieves, PEOPLE reported. The train is out of service pending the investigation.

The men are wanted on reckless endangerment charges. Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,500 for information leading to their capture.
