'The Young and Restless” Michael Muhney dropped from show due to sexual harassment allegations

By

CBS daytime soap opera The Young and Restless seems to be going down the drain with low ratings after the dismissal of Michael Muhney according to Breathecast.com. The decision was made by showrunner Jill Farren Phelps after an allegation of sexual harassment of one of his female cast members was made against Muhney. Although Hollywood News Daily said that the charges are not official filed as of the moment, Phelps however took matters into her hands and fired Muhney from the show. And this has caused an uproar from the fans.

Now, The Young and Restless cast is in search for the right actor to fit Muhney's role in order to give justice to Adam Newman's return to the show. And the fans are growing weary according to Breathecast.com. Many suggests that Billy Miller will take on the much loved role. But Hollywood News Daily erases such belief as they report that Miller has recently taken another role to act in General Hospital. On the other hand, Celebrity Dirty Laundry shares that Cameron Mathison might be given the shot to take on the role. Such reports was suggested after CDL shared that the Canadian actor was spotted in the set of The Young and Restless. Also, they added that an on-screen chemistry between Mathison and Melissa Claire Egan is undeniably visible. But the current Entertainement Tonight correspondent bashed out all the rumors of him taking the role via twitter.

With Billy Miller out of the picture and no indications of hiring Cameron Mathison, there are rumors that Phelps would still bring back Muhney to reclaim his role. This is so after Soap Opera Digest 9th Edition reports that after Muhney's exit last December, the actor was seen to be present in the The Young and Restless set. But again, Muhney gives fans such doubtful feeling that he would returning after a photo of the actor pushing a baby stroller and spending time with his family in the Zoo, last June 2, suggests otherwise.

Everything is within the power of Jill Farren Phelps. Fans for now have nothing else to do but wait for the return of Adam Newman every Monday on CBS.
