Police in Tennessee are exploring whether the 17-year-old who opened fire in a school cafeteria Wednesday may have had contact with another school shooter.
Solomon Henderson shot and killed Josselin Corea Escalante, 16, and wounded another student before shooting himself, police said. Police have not established any connection between Henderson and the students he shot and are continuing to investigate potential motives.
A Pinterest account linked to Henderson had photos of other school shooters from incidents in Parkland, Florida, and Uvalde, Texas, ABC 7 reported, citing unnamed sources.
The station also quoted law enforcement sources as stating that Henderson's social media presence shows he might have been in contact with 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow. Rupnow, who went by the first name Samantha, opened fire at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin in December 2024.
Rupnow killed another student, a staff member and wounded six before killing herself.
Law enforcement sources told WKOW-27 that one of Rupnow's social media accounts might have been following Henderson's account. Also, police are examining a reply on X that an account linked to Henderson posted in response to Rupnow's X account.
