A New Mexico man who posted online about "hunting" Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and unnamed CEOs admitted to Secret Service agents that he had recently purchased a gun, according to federal court records filed ahead of the presidential inauguration.
Tyler Miles Leveque was arrested on January 14 for allegedly making threats against President-elect Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and others via social media platforms, according to the Independent News.
Leveque, 37, allegedly began posting threatening messages on January 3, and a federal case was filed against him on January 8, according to the documents.
The criminal complaint outlines that Leveque was interviewed by agents from the U.S. Secret Service on January 6. During the interview, he reportedly admitted to purchasing a firearm from a business located in Albuquerque.
On Facebook, using the handle "tycodancer," Leveque wrote, "Hey world hey America hey trump hey ceos get rich we are hunting you down! Hahaha I'm getting ready myself! Here we come it ends now," according to the court records.
Court filings show the criminal complaint accuses Leveque of making threats against a person from another state. Although he has not yet been formally charged or scheduled for a hearing, the posts allegedly referenced a rally planned for January 19, one day before the presidential inauguration.
Leveque's criminal history is minimal, with his most recent legal issue being a traffic citation in 2019.
