There are only mere hours before Donald J. Trump is officially sworn in as the next United States President, with one of his earliest focuses being TikTok which helped the company return now. TikTok already faced the music over the past few days, particularly as it already shut down its operations temporarily in the country, only to be reinstated for its continued availability under the Trump administration.

The support for TikTok from President-elect Trump has made massive waves in the world, as it is known that back in the Republican's first term, he was adamant that TikTok be sold in the United States or face a ban from eight years ago.

Trump Assured TikTok Should Not Worry About Its Ban

Trump announced via his platform, Truth Social, that the Supreme Court's decision against TikTok must be respected, but alongside this, he already gave ByteDance and TikTok the green light to resume operations in the country after being offline. The incoming President of the United States claimed that he will also share details on what will happen to TikTok in the future.

For now, one of Trump's pledges is to sign an executive order that remains unknown but was said to help TikTok and make it available for Americans who are greatly invested in the Chinese social media platform.

TikTok, ByteDance, and their fans are now celebrating the social media's return into the limelight, with service providers like Apple and Google also asked to reinstate the platform for those looking to return or enjoy the experience.

ByteDance TikTok Sale Is Still Coming in the US

The executive order from Trump that was said to benefit TikTok has not yet been filed, but the President-elect has already been going on about how the platform should be allowed to continue and how it will be an important platform soon. According to CNBC's report, Trump regarded that one of the reasons for TikTok's return was to share with American users his upcoming swearing-in.

Other reports claimed that this latest move is not a concrete deal for TikTok as Trump will reportedly ask it to sell 50 percent of its US operations while ByteDance still retains the other controlling half.

The TikTok Ban and President-elect Trump

The fresh wound of TikTokers who were either accepting the social media platform's page or a wave of many supporters who have already opted for alternatives like RedNote to continue the experience. Before the shutdown and amidst many already flocking to alternatives, reports claimed that TikTok's ban may be delayed by President Biden and would let Trump's administration handle the matter at hand.

It is known that Trump has been one of the most renowned rulers who have made a significant move against TikTok's operations, particularly as he is known for ordering the Chinese social media to sell its North American operations and more, to a US-based company. That being said, speculations were claiming that Trump would let TikTok fend for its life, but is known for having a change of heart.

While there are still hours before President-elect Trump is sworn in, there is already a promise towards an executive order that will change the fate of the platform, with delaying the deadline being a part of it. TikTok is back after 14 hours and before Trump's awaited return to the White House, with the Republican already having a plan for the platform, especially for its future operations.
