Singer and frontman of 80's rock band 24/7 Spyz Peter Forrest —a.k.a. "P Fluid"— was found dead the morning of Jan. 14 in the back of an abandoned ambulette bus in the Bronx.

First responders discovered Forrest, 64, face-down in a pool of blood inside the vehicle that was parked on Castle Hill Avenue. Authorities said that injuries to his head and face were suspicious enough to warrant an investigation. New York Police Department confirmed to Rolling Stone that the case is being treated as a homicide.

According to the The Gothamist, a representative of Marquis Ambulette said on Jan. 15 that the company was cooperating with police on the investigation. He said the deceased man was an employee of the company but declined further comment.

Reports indicted Forrest was working for a Long Island-based transportation company named Marquis Ambulette at the time of his death. Colleagues called 911 and first responders found the bus with the unresponsive body.

They first got concerned when they hadn't heard back from him as he was last seen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 13 and had failed to make his scheduled pickups. Authorities were able to locate him by tracking his company bus to a location in the Bronx.

PIX11 News obtained surveillance video from the scene that showed the vehicle being driven into a secluded area on Castle Hill Avenue. Minutes later, the driver of a sedan pulled up, a woman got out of the car and walked over to the driver's side of Forrest's ambulette. Moments after, the woman walked away and got back in the sedan.

According to the surveillance video, the car drove up closer to the parked bus and then a man jumped out of the driver's side and got into the back seat of the sedan as it drove away. No arrests have been made as of Jan. 16.

Forrest was known in the music industry as P. Fluid, a founding member of the harcore rock band 24/7 Spyz. The group formed in 1986 in the South Bronx and released its first album three years later, titled Harder Than You. After several lineup changes, the band broke up in 1998, but reformed in 2003.
