The second day of a Tennessee man's murder trial included surveillance videos, information about where the body of his girlfriend was found, and a sticky note the accused murder kept regarding his girlfriends whereabouts.

Jason Chen is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jasmine Pace. Prosecutors say Chen killed Pace on Nov. 23, 2022, and then stuffed her body in a suitcase before dumping it near the Tennessee River, News Channel 9 reported.

At the trial, investigators detailed how Chen's cell phone data helped lead them to the location of the body. After Chen was arrested, investigators found a note regarding Pace's whereabouts. According to News Channel 9, the note, presented at trial, stated:

  • "Saturday Nov 19 last time I saw her
  • Tuesday Nov 22nd last time she called
  • She has a history long history of running away from her parents, ran away to Canada, has a restraining order against her ex"

Surveillance video presented showed Chen's movements during Nov. 23, including trips to a store to buy cleaning supplies, News Channel 9 reported.
