A Louisiana man has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder after police came upon a horrific scene on Jan. 9.

Police responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at about 4:39 p.m., St. Helena Parish Sheriff's police stated. Upon arriving at a residence police found a 40-year-old woman, her 10-year-old son, and her 1-year-old nephew, all stabbed to death.

Police arrested Ryant Jones, 31, of Amite, Louisiana and charged him with murder related to all three of the deaths.

"This was a horrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims family, all the first responders that worked this tragedy, and the entire community," Sheriff Clay Chutz stated.
