New Detail Emerges in A Texas Storage Unit As New Orleans Terror Attack Probe Continues

FBI agents have discovered a cooler filled with sulfuric acid in a Texas storage unit, similar to one found after Shamsud-Din Jabbar's deadly truck attack in New Orleans on New Year's that killed 14 people, the agency confirmed Tuesday.

Agents and Sheriff's Office deputies were conducting an investigation at the storage unit on Monday night, according to Click2Houston.

Law enforcement officials were observed going in and out of at least one storage unit at SpareBox Storage on Walters Road.

The cooler contained commercially available bottles of sulfuric acid, which were reportedly bought at a local hardware store in Houston, according to authorities.

"I can confirm that FBI Houston and the Harris County Sheriff's Office were present at the 11900 block of Walters Rd last night conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity related to the Bourbon Street attack," a spokesperson with the FBI said in a statement.

"FBI Houston cleared that location at approximately midnight. There was, and is, no threat to public safety at this time in relation to that activity."
