Authorities in Tennessee are clearing up recent speculation about a potential break in the case of missing autistic teen Sebastian Rogers.
Last Friday, the Sumner County Sheriff's Office said they questioned an "individual seen wearing a green hoodie near Texas Roadhouse" in Hendersonville, Tennessee the night of Feb. 25, in connection with the disappearance of the 15-year-old.
"We can confirm that after a thorough discussion with this individual, there is no evidence linking them to Sebastian's disappearance," the sheriff's office said.
"The search for Sebastian Rogers remains our top priority, and we will continue to pursue all leads with the utmost diligence. We ask for continued support and patience from the community as we work together to bring Sebastian home."
Authorities have not named any suspects in connection with the teen's disappearance.
Sebastian vanished from the home he shared with his mom, Katie Proudfoot, and stepdad, Chris Proudfoot in February.
Since then, his case has attracted the attention of reality TV personality and former bail bondsman Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman.
Chapman is collaborating with the teen's biological father, Seth Rogers, to track down the missing teen.
Earlier this month, he upped the reward money for information leading to Sebastian's safe return to $250,000.
Appearing on the YouTube show Break The Case hosted by ex-FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer in September, Chapman did not shy away from who he thinks knows what happened to Sebastian.
"I just can't believe that... the stepfather would allegedly... run people off," Chapman said, explaining his suspicions the Proudfoots may be involved.
He claimed Sebastian's stepfather was "harassing" volunteer searchers, discouraging the public from helping track down the missing teen, and stating "the cops are... enough" for the search.
Chapman alleged the teen was "stashed somewhere" due to an ongoing custody battle between his parents, according to an interview with NewsNation that same month.
"We're seeing a domestic squabble over a child," he purported.
"This is one of the most horrendous cases of missing children that we've ever, ever worked on," added Chapman.
"The bottom line is if you hurt a child like this, you've got a problem, so that is the main motivation for me to be hunting who did this."
