Four UPS workers in Arizona have been arrested for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of packages by rerouting electronics and household goods to their homes using fraudulent shipping labels.
The investigation began after UPS reported missing packages from its warehouse in Mesa, Arizona, ABC 15 reported.
Throughout 2023, packages received at the facility mysteriously failed to reach their intended destinations. An internal probe by UPS, followed by police intervention, uncovered a theft scheme that had been operating for roughly a year.
Police identified four suspects — Bo Arias, Casey Bedell, Jeremy Large and David Panasci — who allegedly created fake shipping labels with their own addresses and rerouted high-value items such as electronics and household goods, as reported by FOX 10.
Court documents revealed that one suspect allegedly admitted to stealing between $5,000 to $6,000 worth of items, citing financial struggles. Another suspect reportedly admitted to assisting with the scheme and receiving packages at his home since July.
Search warrants executed at their residences reportedly recovered more than $10,000 in stolen merchandise.
All four individuals were charged with theft of controlled property, while Arias and Bedell face additional charges for fraudulent schemes. They were booked into Maricopa County Jail, and the investigation remains ongoing.
UPS has declined to comment due to the pending inquiry.
