A Chicago woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death ordered her Google device to play music so she could dance during her initial arrest earlier this year.

Whitney Wilcox, 40, was released shortly after in February, but on Monday, was rearrested on a charge of first-degree murder for the fatal stabbing of her 42-year-old boyfriend Jeremy Rodgers at their apartment after DNA evidence on the murder weapon allegedly tied her to the crime, prosecutors said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Wilcox and Rodgers were arguing when she allegedly stabbed him in the stomach with a kitchen knife.

Responding officers witnessed Wilcox to be "distressed but otherwise clean and free from blood" when she answered the door, prosecutors said, according to CWBChicago.

Rodgers was found lying on the bathroom floor with a stab wound to his abdomen. He allegedly accused Wilcox of stabbing him, before succumbing to his injuries the next day at the hospital.

Wilcox allegedly admitted to the stabbing, but argued it was in self-defense.

At the time, she "ordered her Google device to play several songs and danced while handcuffed in the living room," prosecutors said, according to the outlet.

She was soon released but recent DNA test results allegedly confirmed her DNA was on the knife purportedly used in the stabbing, leading to her second arrest in connection with the killing earlier this week.

Wilcox is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 24.

It's unclear if she entered a plea to the charge.
