A Florida man accused of shooting his ex-fiancée to death after she called off their wedding allegedly bragged to the victim's daughter that he "blew her brains out," according to police.

Timothy Hyder, 57, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Natalie Du'Mee, at their home in St. Cloud, Florida, police said, WESH-TV and WOFL-TV reported.

It's unclear if he has entered a plea to the charge.

The ex-couple allegedly spent Sunday afternoon drinking at a football party before going home together that night, when Hyder allegedly shot and killed Du'Mee after she broke off their three-year engagement, according to police.

Police claim people who knew the couple said they had a tumultuous relationship and often argued when they got drunk.

Du'Mee's daughter was home during the alleged killing and "stated she was lying in Natalie and Timothy's bedroom watching a movie when she began to hear Natalie and Timothy argue," Hyder's arrest affidavit read, according to Law & Crime.

"Jenna stated she turned the volume up on the television so she could not hear them arguing. Jenna stated Timothy came into the bedroom and went into the closet. Jenna stated she left the bedroom thinking that Timothy was getting ready for bed. Jenna stated shortly after leaving the bedroom she heard a loud noise. Jenna stated she went downstairs and observed Natalie bleeding from her head and mouth," the affidavit stated.

Hyder allegedly told the victim's daughter to call 911.

During police questioning, he allegedly admitted to the deadly shooting.

"Timothy stated while at the party they began to argue, and Natalie told him that she was not going to marry him. Timothy stated when they arrived home, they sat on the back porch talking about their relationship," the affidavit read. "Timothy stated they continued arguing and Natalie was pushing him and reiterated that she was not going to marry him and gave him the engagement ring back."

Hyder allegedly went to his closet to retrieve his revolver.

"Timothy stated he asked Natalie if she was sure that she was not going to marry him and she stated yes," the affidavit read, the outlet reported. "Timothy stated he, 'Put one right in the back of her head.' "

Hyder expressed regret and alleged to police he "snapped."
