Online citizens slam reality star Bethenny Frankel over posing in her young daughter's pajamas

Reality star Bethenny Frankel has long been promoting her slender frame in her alcoholic drinks product line SkinnyGirl. Although pundits frown on celebrities who promote self-consciousness in body image, the business mogul's latest Instagram snap has definitely riled up people on social media for what appeared to be a light-hearted joke.

Dressed in her four year-old daughter's Hello Kitty pajama set, Frankel pose for an Instagram snap and added a caption that read, "This is my daughter's nightgown and PJ shorts. Think we're ready to start sharing clothes yet?"

Frankel has received backlash from the past for promoting thinness to a point that her BMI appeared to have hovered on the underweight side of normal, the Los Angeles Times said. Comments she received from her latest Instagram photo has just exposed her to more comments about her parenting skills, with some accusing her of "body-shaming" her daughter.

Internet users were not the only one who has openly accused Frankel of her sloppy parenting skills. Her bitter divorce and custody battle of her daughter with former husband Jason Hoppy resulted in nasty word exchanges, mostly about the SkinnyGirl CEO's capability to become a mom to her child.

Although the two has recently settled their case out of court, celebrity divorce attorney Nancy Chemtob has said that the child at the center of the Instagram scandal would hopefully not get affected with the past and future squabbles over the other parent's parenting skills.

"The courts really protect the child. I'm sure there's a lawyer for the child, and she's not going to go to court, and she's going to be protected from the process," she stated amid custody battle proceedings at that time.

Nonetheless, Frankel has somewhat taken everything in hest, and wrote on Twitter on Monday, "BREAKING NEWS! World Scandal: Former reality star, failed talk show host & cocktail maven jokes by wearing her kids' pjs! #itcantbetrue."
