Authorities arrested two family members in connection with the death of a Connecticut teen whose body was found wrapped in a comforter ditched on the side of a road.

Edgar Josué Chiche Martínez was allegedly shot to death less than a week shy of his 19th birthday, police said, according to WVIT-TV.

His body was discovered Saturday morning on a Hartford, Connecticut roadside. Police alleged he was shot to death inside the apartment he shared with his cousins, 21-year-old Sender Soto-Veliz and a 17-year-old male – brothers who are suspects in his case.

Soto-Veliz has been charged with hindering prosecution, while the teen suspect has been charged with murder, police said, according to WTNH-TV.

Both are accused of tampering with evidence and were arrested during a traffic stop over the weekend.

The 17-year-old alleged perpetrator's case is expected to be transferred to adult court.

"What we do want is for earthly justice to be made because God's justice is on the other side," the victim's aunt, Verónica Imelda Martínez Mayen, told WVIT Monday.

Loved ones speculate a dispute about money may have triggered the deadly shooting.

"He was the person who always took care of me, despite him not being okay. I'm going to remember him as the most beautiful person I could've ever known," Edgar's sister, Nimsa Martínez, remembered.

Family members launched a GoFundMe campaign to help raise money to send Edgar's body back to Guatemala, where his parents live.

"May you rest in peace, Campion!" the description read.
