An elderly New York father and daughter were allegedly murdered in their family home in a grisly knife attack over the weekend.
Roosevelt Simmons, 91, and Jacqueline DeLyons, 66, were purportedly found dead with their throats slashed in the kitchen of their Brooklyn, New York residence Sunday, police said, according to WPIX-TV, WNBC-TV and the New York Daily News.
Loved ones alleged Simmons and DeLyons were "killed by his (Simmons') caregiver's lover," without elaborating, a post on Facebook read.
A male person of interest was arrested, police confirmed, according to the New York Post.
Their identity remains unclear.
A motive is under investigation.
