A Kentucky "witch" accused of killing her mother and cooking her dismembered body parts is also responsible for the death of her nephew, her siblings alleged in court.

Earlier this month, Torilena Fields, 32, was charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the alleged killing of her mother, 68-year-old Trudy Fields, according to police.

As part of a hearing last week, during which Fields's sister, Telby Fields, sought a protective order against their brother, Truitt Fields – who she believes was a co-conspirator in their mother's alleged murder –Telby and another brother raised their own suspicions about the 2021 death of Truitt's 2-year-old son, Tristan Fields, according to WLEX-TV.

At the time, Truitt lost custody of his three children. As a result, Torilena was caring for them in her trailer in Riverside, California.

Torilena alleged she put Tristan down for a nap in his crib, and when she went to check on him, his eyes were open and his lips were purple, the outlet reported, citing court records. He was pronounced dead by first responders.

Tristan's cause of death was listed as hyperthermia and investigators determined there was insufficient evidence to charge anyone. His case was closed.

But during last week's hearing, Telby and another one of her siblings, Titus Fields, alleged their mom was convinced Fields and Truitt had something to do with Tristan's untimely death.

"I have handwritten notes somewhere where she says she knows what happened to the baby Tristan and that Torilena and Truitt need to tell the truth," Titus testified, according to the outlet.

The judge declined Telby's request for a protective order, citing a lack of evidence of Truitt's involvement, given he was in California at the time of the incident, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Officers responded to Trudy's Mount Olivet, Kentucky home Oct. 11 after a repair worker believed he stumbled upon her dismembered body.

The worker said when he arrived on site, Fields – who claimed that she was a "witch" – was "casting spells on them" and "being confrontational," police said, according to the arrest warrant, WLWT-TV reported.

Police alleged Trudy's arms, legs and head were chopped off and her upper body and spine were "severed in half and the organs removed," the station reported. Officers said some body parts were stuffed in a folded mattress while other body parts "appeared to have been cooked" in a pot inside the oven.

Fields allegedly shot her mom in the head on Oct. 8 or 9, before dismembering her, say police, the Associated Press reported. She is also accused of killing a dog.
