Authorities arrested a Maryland woman after she allegedly called 911 to confess to murdering her mom and dumping her body in a field.
Tiffany Zhang, 29, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 63-year-old Guichun Hu at a home in Gaithersburg, Maryland, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
It's unclear if she entered a plea to the charge.
Zhang allegedly called 911 Monday and told dispatch she killed her mom the previous day and dumped her body in a grass field near the residence.
When officers arrived, Zhang was outside and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Zhang was taken into custody without incident.
Authorities did not elaborate on a motive or manner of death.
