Police arrested a North Carolina mom accused of hurling hot bleach at her son and another girl during a fight over a cell phone.

Kendra Lafaye McDougald, 33, was charged with two counts of felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury, two counts of assault by throwing acid or alkali, and one count of felony child abuse, according to police, The Daily Record reported. It's unclear if she has entered a plea.

On Oct. 20, McDougald allegedly tossed what investigators believe to be bleach mixed with hot water on her 15-year-old son and a 14-year-old girl outside a Dunn, North Carolina apartment complex during a dispute involving a phone.

"This turned into something I have never seen before in my life," the male victim's uncle, Larry McDougald said, according to WRAL-TV, adding that there were about 40 people involved in the altercation.

"When I got back there, I [saw] my little nephew hollering and screaming," Larry explained to the station. "He got burned [really badly] across the chest."

The victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

"We need to pass things up and let them go before it escalates any worse," Larry McDougald added. "This is my family. I don't want nobody hurt, period."
