The former Florida officer accused of killing his fellow deputy wife previously threatened he wanted "ten men to rape" his ex, according to court documents.
Anthony Shea, 49, a former sergeant with the Orange County Sheriff's Office, allegedly shot and killed his 39-year-old estranged wife, Lt. Eloilda "Ellie" Shea, at their home in Orlando, Florida, during a dispute earlier this month over his on-duty affair that prompted his retirement from the force.
But before Shea and Ellie wed, the ex-law enforcement officer was with his previous wife, Nancy Shea, for nearly 20 years, welcoming five children together.
Their relationship soured and in 2012, Nancy filed for a protective order, alleging Shea wanted her to be gang raped by a throng of attackers after she discovered he was cheating on her.
"I am afraid of what he can do to me," Nancy Shea alleged in the court filing, according to WESH-TV. "He has told me he wishes and wants ten men to rape me."
Shea was arrested Friday on a charge of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Ellie, according to the OCSO. He allegedly staged her death to appear as a suicide.
It's unclear if he entered a plea.
"Anthony Shea attempted to mislead detectives by establishing an alibi and providing a motive for suicide," his arrest report stated, WTVJ-TV reported. "The investigation determined Anthony Shea's actions were organized and premeditated."
In response to Ellie's alleged slaying, loved ones launched a GoFundMe to help support her two young daughters.
"Ellie is, and was, the most kind and caring person to ever grace your presence," the fundraiser description read. "If you only had the chance to meet her one time, she made an impression. She either had you laughing hard enough that you'd forever remember her jokes, or she showered you with kindness."
