The 911 call made during a deadly massacre that left five family members dead and resulted in the arrest of a teenage suspect came from the sole survivor hiding out in the bathroom of the northwest Washington state home.

Two adults, identified as parents Mark and Sarah Humiston, were allegedly shot to death alongside three of their children early Monday morning, according to authorities, KING-TV reported.

The Humiston's teen daughter – who survived, despite being shot twice – called police while she took cover in a bathroom in the family's upscale, Fall City, Washington residence, leading to the arrest of her 15-year-old brother, sources said, according to KIRO-TV.

The unidentified teen faces five counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder in connection with the grisly incident, according to prosecutors.

The suspect waived his right to appear in court Tuesday.

"We want the court to know that our client is a 15-year-old boy who enjoys mountain biking and fishing and has no criminal history," his defense attorney, Amy Parker, told the court, KING reported.

The King County Prosecutor's Office confirmed the suspect's lack of criminal record.

"It's unusual to see these kinds of allegations with no previous contact with the prosecutor's office, but that's what we have here," Casey McNerthney, spokesperson for the prosecutor's office, said, according to KIRO.

While the teen female victim recovers at a Seattle hospital, a motive in the quintuple slayings remains under investigation.

"I keep bursting into tears," neighbor Lynne Trowern, who knew the family of seven, told the station Tuesday. "That's why I have to go to my daughter's house – because I can't be there on my own. I just keep seeing their faces."
