A woman who recently moved to the Atlanta area decided to go on a date. Now, she is begging her community for help after her date allegedly stole her pet at gunpoint.

Allysha Green was asked to meet up with a man she had recently met the evening of Oct. 17. Green said she ended up dismissing some hesitations she had, grabbed her dog Kenji and headed over to the address the man texted her, as reported by WXIA-TV.

When Green arrived at the address of the townhouse in southwest Atlanta, she noticed no one was around so she called the man she knew as "Trey," who said he would come get her.

After a few minutes, Trey arrived and they began making small talk until things took a turn for the worst. "He pets him then he pulled the gun on me," Green told WXIA-TV. "I was shocked, and literally thought I was going to die."

Green said the man told her he would not harm her if she did not scream or make any sudden movements. During this time, a second man pulled up in another vehicle who pointed another gun at her.

The two men asked for money, but with no cash or money in her digital wallet Cash App, the men decided to take her phone and her puppy. "He walked up to me, snatched my leash and he said let the dog go, 'Because you don't have any money you just lost your dog,'" she told WXIA-TV.

Green has filed a police report on the incident, but unfortunately dog robberies are not uncommon. On Oct. 11, a woman had her puppy stolen at gunpoint in New Jersey. The suspect in that case has been arrested though, and the dog was returned, as reported by WPVI-TV.
