A young UK woman has been sentenced to three years in prison after she allegedly posted explicit photographs of her father's former mistress to an escort website in an act of vengeance.

24-year-old Eleanor Brown was charged with two counts of disclosing private photographs without consent after reportedly posting sexually explicit images of a woman her father had an extramarital affair with to an escort website, causing the victim severe emotional distress.

Brown, who is a Morley resident, initially pleaded not guilty, but changed her plea to guilty part-way through her trial.

Brown reportedly discovered her father's affair with the victim, which had taken place in the 2010s, years after the affair had concluded when she was in her teens, according to court records obtained by BBC.

In 2022, she posted disparaging remarks about the victim on an online promotional forum for the victim's husband, who was seeking to promote his business. She then set up a false profile for the victim on an escort website after not getting the "reaction she wanted", linking the profile to the victim's husband by using his phone number.

The victim's husband reportedly received eight phone calls and 13 texts within half an hour of the profile being live.

Brown was allegedly encouraged to take these actions by her sister Sophie. While Sophie was not charged for her role in the incident, it was determined that she committed gross misconduct for enabling her sister's actions at a police hearing in April.

"The thought of my pictures being used by a complete stranger sickens me," said the victim in a victim impact statement during the trial. "I find it hard to believe a woman would do this to another woman. To say I feel violated is an understatement."

"Your lack of remorse is staggering," said presiding Judge Menary, who sentenced Brown to a total of 3 years in prison for both charges.
