A Kentucky man was arrested after police said Best Buy employees allegedly discovered child porn on his computer while trying to help him transfer files, according to a report.

Jack Hancock, 78, took his computer to a Best Buy in Louisville on August 28 to have its files moved onto an external hard drive. During the exchange, employees saw what they believed to be files containing child pornography, according to arrest records obtained by the Lexington Herald Leader.

The St. Matthews Police Department obtained a search warrant for Hancock's home, and on the morning of Oct. 14, investigators reportedly found hundreds of images of children engaging in sex acts with adults.

Authorities alleged that Hancock had been in the process of downloading more child porn when the search warrant was executed, according to a citation obtained by WDRB.

The 78-year-old allegedly admitted to knowingly having more than 300 files, according to court records obtained by the Herald Leader.

Hancock was arrested and faces 20 counts of possessing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under under 12 years old. His bond was set to $10,000, and he is due back in court Wednesday.
