A Kentucky man is now facing rape charges after a witness came forward, revealing he had been "bragging" about the crime.

Robert Jones, 53, is accused of sexual assault after the Bowling Green Police Department received a complaint Saturday, as reported by WNKY.

Police said a male witness stated that Jones had been "bragging" about the crime, according to a citation obtained by WNKY. The victim told police they had been assaulted in the early morning hours at their home.

Investigators are reportedly still awaiting the results of a sexual assault kit.

Jones is being held at the Warren County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond, according to the center's inmate tracker. He has been charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree burglary.
