As the search for missing 14-year-old Ja'Niyah McMichael stretches into its second month, Indiana police have raided a Gary home in a new push for answers—though details remain scarce as investigators work to navigate growing online speculation and mounting public concern.
Partnering with the FBI, detectives from the Gary Police Department were able to secure a court-approved search warrant; however, at this time, little detail is being shared with the public as this is an active and ongoing investigation.
The police department also highlighted the significant misinformation circulating on social media in connection to the case. They are strongly urging the public to refrain from sharing unreliable information so as not to compromise the integrity of the investigation.
Ja'Niyah was last seen on August 11 and described as 4'3 tall, weighing 110 pounds, and wearing black pajamas, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black and red shoes.
