An Ohio "mass murderer" who fatally shot four victims lying on a set of mattresses, including a pregnant teen, is "the worst of the worst," a prosecutor slammed.

Terrell Silver, 35, was handed down five consecutive life sentences for the deadly shootings of Jazmyne Lawson, 18; Aiyanna Quitman, 19; Dejuan Damar Willis, 20; and Christopher Monroe, 23; inside a Cleveland apartment sometime between Sept. 7 and Sept. 21, 2019.

Silver shot the four victims several times as they lay on two mattresses on the floor, according to authorities. Lawson was 5 ½ months pregnant.

Silver fled the scene after firing off the fatal rounds.

Police found the victims' bodies on Sept. 21.

Last month, a jury convicted Silver of seven counts of aggravated murder, four counts of murder, five counts of felonious assault, one count of attempted murder, and one count of aggravated burglary.

"Terrell Silver is a convicted mass murderer," Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley said in a statement, earlier this week. "He is the worst of the worst. His victims' families finally have some of the answers they need to try to understand this horrific event. Ultimately, justice for this mass murderer awaits him in prison, hell, or both."

At Silver's sentencing hearing Monday, Quitman's mother, Tammy Quitman, delivered a victim impact statement.

"You have destroyed four families and five lives, and for what?" she said, according to WOIO-TV. "I will never be the same."
