A TikTok star with over 8 million followers is now at the center of a shocking murder investigation after the body of a 69-year-old therapist was found wrapped in tarp and abandoned by a Louisiana highway.
Terryon Thomas, 20, a popular TikTok influencer known as "Mr. Prada," is in police custody and has been charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice.
The victim, William Abraham, 69, was brutally attacked by Thomas, who wrapped his body in tarp and dumped it alongside a highway where it was discovered Sunday morning.
During a search warrant on Thomas' apartment, authorities found evidence that indicated "a violent physical altercation" took place inside of the residence, according to WAFB.
A considerable amount of blood was discovered throughout the apartment, as were sharp objects and several weapons.
Recent surveillance video shows Abraham arriving at the apartment complex where Thomas lives at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28.
The therapist was reportedly wearing the same clothing seen in the video footage as when he was found on Sunday, September 29.
Furthermore, witnesses allege they saw the suspect drag an object wrapped in blue tarp hours after the victim was last seen alive.
DNA was collected from the scene and sent to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
On Wednesday, authorities received confirmation that the DNA at the crime scene matched the victim's DNA.
The nature of the relationship between Thomas and Abraham and the motive behind the murder remain unclear; however, police say there is no evidence to suggest Thomas was a patient of the therapist.
The TikTok personality is expected to be extradited to East Baton Rouge Parish for court at a later date.
